How do I pay?

We take credit card, e-transfer, cheque, or cash. You can add a credit card to your Jane account and be charged automatically, you can pay directly at the reception desk following your in-clinic session, or you may send an e-transfer to ashley@thatslifeotservices.ca.

Does insurance cover occupational therapy?

Many insurance plans cover OT, but it is best to check with your specific provider.

Do we deal directly with insurance?

No we do not. We issue a receipt upon payment, then it is the client's responsibility to upload that receipt to their insurance provider/OAP (Ontario Autism Program).

How often are appointments? Are there a certain amount of appointments you have to book?

Frequency of sessions will vary depending on each client’s needs and progress - it can be anywhere from a few times a week (maximum) to only a few sessions total. We book on a first-come-first- serve basis for ongoing clients. There is absolutely no commitment.

Ultimately, the therapist caters to the individual client's needs, progress and demand for services at any given time.

Do parents/caregivers sit in on appointments?

This will depend on the age of the client and goals for therapy. The younger the client, the more likely it will benefit both parties to have the parent/caregiver present. If goals for therapy include or rely on parent intervention and/or skills, parents are encouraged to sit in. If the child has individual goals that have been clearly established by parent/caregiver and therapist -  it will be more reliant on the level of autonomy for the child.
